This is by far the worst post office I have ever seen. There is always just one person at the counter.

This location is chronically understaffed. That is not the staff’s fault, of course, but it makes for a miserable customer experience.
What IS the staff’s fault is how they handle customers. One day I dropped off a batch of pre-labeled packages (first thing in the am so it wouldn’t be a last-minute shock to them). The next time I came, they had this sign up — only for “single package drop off” and that “bulk drop off” should be done in the “back dock.” Well there is zero signage for that.
The place was packed with about two dozen people waiting, but I had to flag staff to ask where the heck to go. She asked me how many packages — I said 102. She said “go out to the street, turn right, and I’ll let you in the back gate.”
Except she didn’t. This is NOT.l a customer-facing spot at all. Everything is signed AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY. I tried going to the gate and buzzing — no one answered or let me in. I tried going to the loading dock — there was no where to buzz or ring, and there were no visible staff anywhere.
I went back inside to get clarity but after waiting for 10 minutes to catch someone’s eye or ear, I gave up and went to a different post office.
If you want customers to do something, provide signage. Make it easy to find and do. Don’t make me drive around in circles. I would hate to think what the elderly would have to do.
