It says they close at 5:30 but they really close at 4. FYI. I could have gone to another one before they close and now have to wait until tomorrow.

My boyfriend and I were at the United States Post Office at 819 West Washington Blvd. in Del Valle. My boyfriend was planning to ship a guitar bag, which was going to cost over $106. I was also sending my grandson some books and toys, which would cost $37 to ship. My boyfriend asked the USPS teller, a woman of Indian or Bangladeshi descent, for packing tape so he could seal the guitar bag. The teller declined, stating that they don't give out tape to customers. I ended up purchasing a roll of tape from her for $3.99. My boyfriend then asked to borrow a pair of scissors to cut his brown packing paper. The same teller again stated that she couldn't give customers scissors. After her last response, my boyfriend decided it was best for us to go to another USPS location. I returned the tape I had just bought and we headed to the Alameda branch, where they provided courtesy tape and scissors. This is the type of customer service that every post office should offer, especially considering the regular price hikes that USPS imposes. We won't be returning to the Del Valle location. Attached is a a photo of the tape and scissors that the Alameda branch provides for their customers. P.S. After I received my refund for the tape, I noticed the teller didn't give me my original receipt or a refund receipt. I suspect she thought I might report her behavior to management, and that a refund receipt for the tape could be used to prove that we were customers who had a change of heart because of her actions.

She gave horrible customer service, she is Very selfish cannot even let me as a customers borrow alil bit of tape so I bought tape, then she can't even let a customer borrow scissors, to cut the tape and paper I bought in ya facility, she needs to learn great customer service, or learn some courtesy. Someone train her, so I'm currently on my way to the city USPS since they are way more respectful to customer services (below there is a copy of my tape recipe) Edit: just arrived at the city USPS they I posted a pic below showing how here there is Wonderful customer service and truly care, if I can tip the customer service at the city USPS I actually will 🥰

I read the negative comments about this post office and gave it a shot. I should have listened to the comments I was treated very rude by one of the workers.
