Before it reached the destination, for about 5 days there was no indication of any tracking movement. I had to contact customer service several times. Initially, they declined my claim indicating that I had not paid insurance. I informed them that since I paid for shipping, they had a basic standard of care to ship the item regardless of insurance because they were paid to perform a service with reasonable care. At first UPS only offered me $100 in damages but after I informed them I would sue, UPS fully reimbursed me.
