According to Dyson’s instructions, I didn’t need to print anything—the store could scan the barcode on the label. However, the staff member who assisted me (a Black woman) refused to even look at the instructions or the label, repeatedly saying “no barcode, no return,” without listening or checking properly. She dismissed my explanation with a rude attitude and unhelpful demeanor, making me feel disrespected and frustrated. When I called Dyson again, they confirmed the return process has always worked with the barcodes printed on the label. Now I have to go back and deal with this all over again. This experience was unnecessarily stressful, and the staff’s lack of professionalism and poor customer service was extremely disappointing.
