The woman behind the counter—who volunteered that she was the “manager” of that location—took over the register to “help” me. I told her I needed an overnight delivery. Without checking a single screen she announced, in the most dismissive tone possible, “Your package won’t get there until Monday,” yet still quoted me the full overnight rate. Then, smirking as if it were a joke, she added: “Traffic’s light right now—if you drive 25–30 minutes to the Marina del Rey FedEx, maybe they can get it there sooner.” That kind of sarcastic, run-around “advice” would be unprofessional from any employee; from someone who claims to run the store it’s inexcusable. She made it clear she couldn’t be bothered to solve the problem, and instead sent me on a pointless cross-town errand during rush hour. Totally unprofessional, zero accountability, and a complete waste of time. If this is how FedEx lets its “managers” treat paying customers, it’s no wonder people are switching carriers.
