- MAMoe AlyDec 30, 20251.0Comedy of Errors (FedEx "Express Priority": A 3-Week Masterclass in Knowing Absolutely Nothing) If you enjoy paying a premium for "Priority" shipping only to have your package held hostage for three weeks, FedEx is the company for you! I shipped a package from LA to Madrid on Dec 8th, paying extra for a promised Dec 10th delivery. Naturally, FedEx interpreted "Express" as "let’s ignore this until Dec 18th." That’s when they finally woke up and asked for customs duties. I paid instantly on their website and received a confirmation email. Delivery was scheduled for the 19th. Did it arrive? Of course not. The highlight of this nightmare was Dec 25th. A driver actually showed up, package in hand, and demanded I pay the taxes again. When I showed him the payment confirmation, he refused to hand over the package and threatened to report me for non-payment. I called Customer Service, assuming they could fix this. Their response? "We can't contact the driver because he's a third party." FedEx, you literally hired him. Then, the cherry on top: they asked me to send proof of payment... for a payment I made on their own website, for which they sent me a receipt. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, and neither hand knows where the package is. After endless international calls and emails proving I paid them, I finally got my "Priority" package on Dec 29th. Save your money. A message in a bottle would have been faster and involved less extortion.
