  Usually, this UPS Store on Grape runs smoothly, and the staff handle busy return lines well. But today’s visit was disappointing. My Amazon return clearly said “UPS will package and label the return,” yet I was told to tape it myself — or pay $4 for them to do it, or $4.99 to buy tape. Who carries packing tape for Amazon returns? It felt like a forced upsell and a lapse in business ethics. I chose to go home, tape it myself, and come back — because rewarding such practices only encourages them. Be aware of these tactics or use another UPS location if you can.

  My sister went for a life scan for her new job. Tracy and another employee just took her payment and told her to have a good day. They didn’t actually perform the life scan at all and offered many excuses, like being busy, for why they couldn’t complete it. They also tried to contact my sister by phone, but when she called back, they said she had just walked out with her boyfriend. Next time, fully complete the service you’re providing, and don’t act like you’re finished just by telling people to have a good day and handing them their receipt. Furthermore, after the life scan was supposedly done, my sister went to her job and was told the life scan was missing a page. This place really needs to hire people who know what they’re doing.

  I had an Amazon return that I took to this store. I put the product in the bag that Amazon used to ship it to me. Upon arriving to the store the employee told me she could not accept my return because it was in a clear plastic bag. Apparently they have a new rule that returns cannot be in clear plastic bags. I told her this is the same bag that Amazon used to ship it to me. She told me the only way they would accept the return is if I purchased one of their bags there in the store. So I had to pay $8.00 to purchase one of their UPS envelopes to ship an Amazon return that should have otherwise been free to return.

  I had to use their services twice today as an out-of-town visitor taking care of family business. Though the store was much busier on my second visit, none of the staff ever seemed grumpy or unfriendly when dealing with a nonstop flow of customers. Shout out to Ciara for being so helpful with my shipping needs.
