Today is one of the days where I thought „this is probably why the dinosaurs got extinct - they just got too big“. And the bigger Staples gets the more they want to automate. Yesterday, during dinner they dared to call me with an automated message that my print job was ready. I thought a text message or an email would have done nicely, but I did not think they would actively disturb me in doing what I was doing. I went - and they could not find anything and asked me to come back today. Today, after 15 mins a lady with a mask who I could not understand tried to find it - and she did. All in all I spent an hour on what I thought would take me a minute. Quality OK, service meh. Ambiance meh. I doubt I would go again. Their system has lost me already. I was signed up with my phone number - a number that I have since 30 years.

I recently placed an order from Amazon that I needed for work. For some reason, the delivery was meant to be made by UPS instead of Amazon. UPS failed to deliver the package to my house so I had to pick up the package at this Staples location that has a UPS pick up inside. I went to the UPS pick up station with my ID and presented it for my package. The employee working the desk denied my ID, even though my name matched the package, but my address was outdated. The next employee, Melissa refused to release the package to me, despite showing her my Amazon order with address, the UPS delivery tracking information from the notice left at my house, AND my drivers license. She insisted that I go home and get a bill with my name on it that also had my current address. I never wanted to come to the Staples in order to pick up my package in the first place and the extra hoops Melissa wanted me to jump through in order to get a package I needed for work was just insane. I love being treated like a criminal and mail thief don’t you? Make sure to carry a extra utility bill around if you plan on picking up a package from this store…

I visited the Staples store 10 min ago to return an Amazon purchase, and I had a disappointing experience with one of the staff members. The Spanish-speaking employee who assisted me made a sarcastic remark to her colleague about my return. Little did she know, I understood Spanish. I responded that I was returning items that arrived in damaged condition—specifically, Christmas ornaments, half of which were defective and broken. I felt very offended by her comments and the overall attitude. I sincerely hope that the management of this store reads my review and provides training to their staff on how to behave and what constitutes good customer service. I will not be returning to this location and will advise my friends to do the same.
