Been here three times over the past two years and every time it's been the same. The people at the counter, every time I've been, charged way more than the expected price, and they never show or tell me why. Never coming here again.
I asked them this last time for a flat-rate box that would fit a small book and a couple other even-smaller gifts. I measured at home and the items would fit in a 5x7.5x3 box. So either a small or medium flat-rate max. So between $15 and $18. The girl at the counter said "just give me the address and I can do everything else for you.", so I did, she measured the items on a scale, tapped a few times on her screen, said, "the total will be 27 something", asked me to confirm the address and sign, I did just to see what she was charging me exactly, then she hovered over the customer screen and tapped "no receipt" as the prompt showed up, before I could even acknowledge it. And then she said, "plus an extra $5 something for the box". After I signed. I replied, "But isn't the flat-rate box, isn't that what I'm paying for?" She said, "no, the $27 is for the shipping, 5 for the box."
So $32, almost 33 total. Literally twice as much as I was expecting. Thank God I hadn't paid yet.
I told them I'm just gonna ship it from somewhere else and left with my stuff.
We double checked online and we realized that, more than likely, she was going to charge me for an XL box, or a large box with shipping separate. I say more than likely because again, she skipped the receipt prompt *without asking*, and I couldn't see what she was tapping on on her end.
Ridiculous. So very clearly obfuscating every part of the transaction to charge me as much as possible.
A few months ago I shipped out a small 7x4x1.5 book for a return that was overcharged by like $12 too but I was too tired to go anywhere else at that point.
Predatory with no remorse. Never going there again. They're very clearly never going to change.

Maria, Shell, Suhan & Aiden were all super kind and attentive- I walked in right before they closed and they had no issues assisting me and being patient (as I was on the phone when I walked in - I know super rude) anyways, they helped me with return and made it super easy for me and Maria even went above and beyond to ensure I had a tracking number. Thank you guys, most definitely my favorite UPS location in the city! :)
