- JSJ SNov 4, 20251.0I recently shipped a box from this UPS Store and was surprised by how expensive it was — about $60 for an 8-lb package going cross-country. I later learned that UPS Stores are franchises and charge higher retail rates than what you’d pay online. If you’re shipping something, I highly recommend buying your label at home on UPS.com or USPS.com and then just dropping it off here — you’ll save a lot. The staff was polite, but the pricing was much higher than I expected. they charge 30 to 50% more than what you can get if you print your label at home.
