- JSJanet SchoolMar 15, 20251.0Do NOT put our mail in the drop box. Our mailed checks were stolen from the drop box, two times! After we realized the problem is with this post office, USPS said they are aware of it. And even warn us NOT to put mail in drop box. What?! As we know, since last year, the drop box at this post office was reduced from 2 to 1, so mail are even more stuffed in the drop box. Of course, USPS can choose different ways to improve: a bright light above the drop box, change to a newer version so the sticky stick cannot go into the dropbox. Or act on law enforcement. USPS has a law enforcement division in Oakland. But, they chose: do nothing about this repeating problem. So, our neighbors, take our mail inside the post office, or send payments outside the USPS system. It is a place for fraud at this time.
