The world is hard for so many right now. Finding friendly, supportive, and professional customer service is getting even harder. Not at Staples in Concord, tho: Michelle, manager Dayna, and staff make this Staples an oasis of easy in a hard world.
I needed flyers for a tenant organization finished - I did what I could on my own, but needed an expert to get my project over the finish line. Michelle was super patient and kind when I told her I was paying for everything myself and expertly created an order I could afford.
The flyers look awesome, and I left Staples with a smile and the knowledge that there are a whole lot of good people still in the world, humans who share their power rather than steal yours.
Thank you, Michelle - you are awesome!

I had to drive all the way to Concord to recycle my household batteries. The Staples is San Ramon their battery recycle bins were full. A advice, call a head to see if their bins are full.

I’ve ordered flyers here multiple times, but this experience was very disappointing. The staff member, Carrie, was quite unfriendly on the phone when I called to confirm that my order was received and in progress. I clearly specified glossy paper on both sides and thinner paper suitable for flyers, and my email also stated that I needed 40 copies.
When I arrived about two hours later, they had printed 80 flyers instead of 40, and on the wrong type of paper. They started reprinting the order but then told me I would be charged an expedite fee to fix their mistake.
Very frustrating experience, I won’t be ordering here again.

I had a very disappointing experience at Staples, specifically in the printing department.
The associate, Carrie, made a mistake with my order, which caused a significant delay and forced me to stay in the store much longer than necessary. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of accountability there was no apology, no effort to take responsibility, and instead I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude. This was first thing in the morning, which makes it even more concerning.
Customer service should never feel like a burden to the customer. Being rude and unprofessional is simply unacceptable, especially when the issue was caused by the employee.
I also spoke with the manager, Jonathan, and unfortunately, the experience did not improve. There was no real attempt to resolve the issue properly or acknowledge the poor service. As a manager, it is his responsibility to step in, de-escalate, and ensure the customer leaves feeling heard and respected but that did not happen.
If employees are unhappy or unwilling to provide basic customer service, they should not be working in customer-facing roles. This experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and completely avoidable.
I hope management takes this seriously and makes improvements, because no customer should be treated this way.

I don’t want to say worst Staples ever but the store layout and staffing gives the impression that either Staples is going out of business or they are planning to shut down this location. Not much inventory and, as previously mentioned, a maze-like layout. The only saving grace is that what few employees they have are friendly and knowledgeable. I don’t mind shopping at Staples for office supplies but I will steer clear from this location.
