Why does USPS accept deliveries for Amazon (or other vendor) items that (they claim) do not fit in their trucks? People who work and have to try to get there to pick up these items are in a bind.

If I could give them no star I would. I have lived in many places and have always had excellent service at the Post Office and from the postal person. In Cambria they could care less. They are for the most part on there way out and don't care. Are they not a public servant? - well kiss there a__ or you won't get served.

this was by far the worst customer service experience of my entire life. i was just treated like trash, like dirt. i walked into the post office at 4:25 pm when closing time is 4:30. there was no one in line, not one person. the two clerks behind the counter were ringing up other customers as i walked in. after finishing those transactions, the first of the two employees scurries behind the scenes promising to return and help me in just a second. meanwhile the the other employee juanita, who was now available, asked how she could help me. i told her that i had two letters that i wanted to mail out and asked to have my options explained to me. i wanted to know the difference between services such as "certified" and "priority"... these are common questions she gets on a daily basis. she was clearly annoyed by my question as it may have taken her more than 5 or 10 seconds to process my request and she wanted to go home. i'm certain that had i just asked for two postage stamps she would have sold them to me. unfortunately for me, even that was not an option. as soon as i asked the question she said i better get to writing the slip fast because they were closing in a few minutes. while telling me this, she was walking away from her station and computer in order to come into the lobby and lock the door. rather than doing that, she should have been helping me finish my transaction. after leaving me stranded at the desk for at least 5 minutes while she kicked out other potential customers from the lobby, saying they all showed up after 4:30, she came back to the counter and told me to get out, they are closed. i was shocked. i was there well before closing and all of the time that should have been spent helping me was wasted kicking people out of the lobby. she didn't even have the decency to sell me a couple stamps. i have never been treated so poorly in a customer service setting. the encounter culminated with juanita kicking me out of the mail center having forgotten she locked the door. she left me locked in the lobby and refused to serve me! yes, this is actually what happened to me. she told me to get out and had me trapped inside!!! i said "i couldn't leave if i wanted to, you have locked me inside." as she opened the door to let me escape, she told me her boss isn't allowing them to get any overtime whatsoever so i couldn't be helped. so now i am left with having to drive a half an hour to morro bay tomorrow and worry about my letters getting to their destinations on time. lastly, i asked the poor excuse for a human being that i had been dealing with if she could go home happy with the level of service she had provided me with. and she said yes!! thanks juanita.

The people here are very friendly inside the post office. Brian has been really helpful with my mail deliveries as I am new in town.
