The Buellton post office keeps misplacing packages sent by me. Their latest masterpiece is sending a package that is meant for Austria to AUSTRALIA!!! There is a difference of several letters and 9926 miles! I clearly noted AUSTRIA on the USPS Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note, and clearly wrote the recipient's address in capital letters. However, they shipped it to Australia. This is by far not the first time they misplaced a package (within the US, too). I don't know whether the problem lies with the post office in Buellton or the USPS sorting facility elsewhere, but the fact remains that several of my packages were misplaced, and the one to Austria (there are no kangaroos in Austria) remains lost. One time is an accident, multiple times is a pattern. A pattern of gross negligence and/or incompetence. If you want to mail anything that's even remotely valuable, I strongly recommend going to the building across the street from USPS, where they offer UPS, Fedex, and DHL shipping services. (No, I'm not affiliated with that other business, just thoroughly disgusted with the US Postal Disservice.)
