- SBsteven butlerAug 8, 20161.0Poor Customer Service at its finest! I am a seasonal resident in Graeagle, I maintained a PO Box at the post office since they don't have street delivery. I enjoyed getting the local mailing including local advertisements, I felt it helped keep me be connected with my seasonal community. I also did some business in the area and it allowed me to safely receive mail when I was up there. All was fine the first 10 years then about 4 or 5 years ago it seemed to be a battle to keep my box open. This year I talked to the post office and they stated that I had to sign a form to keep my box open and that the form would be in my box sometime in June. Knowing I was not going to be there in June I went at the end of May to sign the form, was told I couldn't sign it early. So I put a temporary forwarding on my box for June, never received said notice to sign. Went to my box in early July... my box was locked and re-keyed again. This was the 3rd time this had happened. I could re-open my box for the re-keying charge...blah blah blah. I asked why they hadn't forwarded the notice or called me before closing my box they said they didn't have time to do those things, yet they had time to re-key my box provide no level of friendly or helpful type service. I let them have their box back. Don't know it was a policy change or personnel change 4-5 years ago, but I suspect personnel as I have no problems with this at our other PO box. Not that you have a choice of Post Offices.....BUT still a less than 1 star review.
