If I could give Zero stars, I would. I arrive well before closing with a stack of certified mail. Veronica, the postal worker, let me know that she closes at 4pm. I look at the clock and there is at least 10 minutes to go. She continues to tell me that she closes at 4pm. In the middle of my transaction with 5 out of 11 envelopes, she states she's now closed, and tells me to pay. She refused to finish my transaction. She should be fired immediately! This is unacceptable, especially when I explained that the mail was time sensitive. Her response, I should have gotten there earlier. Who stops in the middle of a transaction? I would understand if I'd just walked in, but while I'm standing at the counter and she's more concerned about the time than completing the transaction. I had to go to West Covina to finish the transaction...took them 5 minutes. If you have the misfortune having Veronica as your postal worker, best to just leave and go to another post office.

It's a very small post office, right off Irwindale Ave and Arrow Hwy, on a side street directly across from a city park and the Irwindale Police Station. The parking lot has 4 spots, one is disabled only, however, there is parking permitted at it's curb on the street, which is why 4 stars. If you arrive at 2:00pm during weekdays, you'll have to come back at 2:30pm to allow the employees their lunch break. There's also the drive-up out-going stamped mailbox with the Priority Mailbox and Express in the parking area. It isn't as big as the Covina Post Office on Rimsdale or the West Covina P.O. nearby the West Covina Fashion Plaza which may discourage some but I find a bonus for no waiting, generally. It has a handicapped entrance and ramp next to disabled spot. And I've yet to see any of the postal employees being rude or unhelpful to any of the customers and there definitely is no woman by the door asking if you need stamps (really? it's so small, she'd get in the way if she existed) as one review claimed. I just like it because it's quick and easy if I need to go inside.

Very rude told they wouldn't expect package because it wasn't shipping tape. Told her that's funny because Duarte post office doesn't seem to mind. Just looked back at me like a lost puppy. Bad service just go to Duarte where clerk's do their jobs .

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The lady that works there was really nice the first time I went but the second time I went she was extremely rude and refused to accept my packages. After refusing to accept my packages she told me to go to another post office when she knew damn well I wasn't going to make it on time, this was around 3:50 pm. She did tell me my etsy shipping labels were wrong but I told her I was willing to pay the $200+ shipping fee to get the packages to NY in 2 days.. She said there was NO WAY they were getting there in 2 days and she refused because there wasn't "enough time" cause she was going to close but when I walked out to put the boxes in my car she continued to help the couple in back of me ??.. Anyways I went home fixed the shipping labels and I literally drove around looking for a mailman and he accepted my packages! And all 4 boxes got to NY in 2 days ... So yeah I give this place 0 stars.
