This was the most bizarre interaction I likely have ever had dealing with a customer service person let alone a post office worker, I just cant sit quiet on this one.. the management or her higher ups needs to know how one of their employee is acting.

I walked into this post office, no cars in the parking lot and no one in line. There are two workers in their stations at the counter, both looking down. I walk towards the front front, they both ignore me so I turn to stand in the line rather than approach the counter, as i am holding my outgoing packages (a couple mailers and a small box). The young black girl (not a women) looks up from her phone and asks “can I help you”. I approached her counter and ask her if she can scan my packages in, politely. She states that I must put them at the end of the counter and they will be scanned in later. I was dumbfounded at this because there was literally no packages there and no one else in line so I asked if she can go ahead and scan them in for me. She stated no, that I must put them on the counter at the other end and she said “we will get to it when theres more packages to do”. I then stated that any other post office I go to, I give them my packages and they normally ask “do you want a receipt” to which then I would answer with a yes or a no. She stated “thats now how we do things here”. So I asked again “Can you please scan them in since you’re not busy with any other customers”. She said something about if I was a business I would drop the packages off in the back and then asked what my zip code was. I stated that I am local, but my zip code has nothing to do with my visit to this post office. There was a few more things spoken back and forth to which I then asked to speak to a manager because of the foul way she was speaking to me. She walked to the back saying out loud to someone else “Im not going to do it for him”.

Some young hispanic guy cam out with a scanner, I asked if he could scan them in, he said yes. I then asked for a receipt, he said that one the lady would have to do it. I asked if she is going to do scan them in, she replied that she isn’t going to do it. This makes the other calm quiet lady sitting there the whole time having to do the young black girls original job that I asked to be done when I got to the post office. The spiteful girl then spews a few more things under her breath as I wait for the items to be scanned in. I then thanked the lady for scanning them in and being respectful, to which the young black girl scoffs with a little laughter.

The management and the president of the post office should review the cctv video for 3/7/2025 at 12:43pm to see how this girl acts a fool and refuses to do actual work, as she sat there on her phone the whole time.

As the scans got finished by the other worker, I asked the girl what her name is, she says “Im not telling you that”. I then asked the “manager”, and he says “I wont tell you either”.

The way she spoke and reacted as a post office employee was far from reasonable and professional and I believe the post office should reconsider why they have her employed here as a face of the office. Again, the locations management should watch the security video footage to see that nothing I have said here is a lie and nothing I have wrote here has been exaggerated. I actually fear she may be retaliative and damage my packages or I fear what she may do with my address being exposed on the package because she shows reg flags of possibly being vindictive. She needs to be FIRED!!!

This post office changed my perspective on postal workers, I used to think they were grouchy because they’d had a long difficult day.. nope, the people in there are rude as hell right when they open
