  It’s really disappointing to see how people come to this store for simple, basic help — and are refused, especially elderly customers. It’s heartbreaking and unacceptable to witness such indifference and lack of compassion. Staples should be a place where respect and kindness come first. What is the world coming to if even seniors can’t count on a bit of understanding and assistance?

  On Monday, October 20, 2025, I came to Staples address: 26791 Aliso Creek Rd, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656 to get help scanning four pages of important documents for my 76-year-old disabled mother. The day before, on Sunday, October 19, one of the scanners was broken, and the other one printed so poorly that the text was unreadable. I came early in the morning on Monday to make sure my mother’s documents would be perfectly scanned and ready for submission to the court that same day. Around 8:45 a.m., there were no customers in the store. I patiently waited about 10 minutes before an employee finally came to assist me. I explained to him that I urgently needed help scanning just four pages, that these documents were extremely important for court, and that the scans I made the previous day were unreadable. However, instead of helping, the employee spent about 20 minutes explaining that they “don’t do that here” and suggesting I go to another Staples, a library, or somewhere else. I was very surprised and disappointed by this attitude. It would have taken only a few minutes to help me, and I have always had great experiences with Staples staff in the past — they have always been kind, supportive, and willing to assist me with my work-related tasks for my senior living facility. This time, however, I left feeling frustrated and disheartened by the lack of compassion and customer service. I truly hope Staples management will remind staff of the importance of helping customers, especially when it comes to urgent and sensitive matters like legal documents for seniors with disabilities.

  I went online and ordered a poster for a special event. It was an easy process and the poster was beautifully printed, mounted and laminated within a couple of hours of my morning request.
