  I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at the Bell store. When I upgraded to my iPhone 17 Pro Max, I was encouraged to purchase Bell’s device insurance because I was told it would protect my new phone and make the repair or replacement process easier if something happened. Recently, my phone developed a display issue, so I went to the Bell store expecting assistance. Instead of explaining my coverage or helping me understand my options, the representative simply told me I would have to pay $600 and call the phone number they provided. I was shocked. What is the point of paying for device insurance if I’m still being told to pay such a large amount without any explanation? Since I wasn’t satisfied with the information I received, I went directly to the Apple Store. The Apple staff took the time to assess my phone, explained the issue clearly, and informed me that the repair qualified for a free replacement at zero cost. They handled everything professionally and efficiently. My concern is not just the misinformation about the cost. It’s that the Bell representative failed to properly assist me or explain that, because this is an Apple product, I could also go directly to Apple to have the issue assessed under Apple’s warranty. Instead, I was immediately told to pay $600 and call another number. This experience has made me question the value of Bell’s device insurance. I paid for this coverage expecting support and guidance when I needed it most, but instead I received incorrect or incomplete information that could have cost me hundreds of dollars unnecessarily. I hope Bell store reviews this situation, provides better training for its representatives, and ensures customers receive accurate information about their repair and warranty options in the future.
