    Handed over a single iPhone with a pre-paid international label The agent here took it, packed it into a disproportionately large box without asking me, and shipped it. The direct consequence? My receiver in Iraq was hit with an unexpected $30 USD surcharge due to "dimensional weight" a fee triggered entirely because this Surrey location used wasteful, oversized packaging. When the issue was raised, they showed zero accountability. Their lack of basic judgment in choosing appropriate packaging directly cost me money. They create the problem, and the customer pays the price. Warning: If you use this location, supervise the packaging closely. Their carelessness can lead to expensive surprises for your recipient. Terrible service and no ownership of their mistakes.

    DHL Express Canada lost my passport due to gross negligence and then spent weeks deflecting responsibility with contradictory and misleading explanations. I was first told the courier left it with the concierge at my building. Then I was told it was handed directly to me. Later, I was told it was left outside my apartment. These statements cannot all be true. Which one is it? Then I was also told the courier left without obtaining a signature — yet the proof of delivery clearly shows a signature. Whose signature is this? Did the courier sign it himself? No one has answered this. No one from DHL Express Canada returned to the premises to even attempt a recovery. After dragging this on for weeks with “we are following up with the operations team,” the only outcome DHL provided was that the driver was advised not to do it again. That is their resolution. Am I supposed to say “oh okay” as long as the driver won’t repeat it? Completely unacceptable. Given the repeated lies and shifting stories, it is entirely reasonable to question whether the courier may have stolen the passport. Because of DHL’s failure, I now have to travel to my passport’s issuing country to reapply, at my own cost, and reapply for invalidated visa stamps. DHL has offered no clear guidance on compensation for any of this. Toward the end, the tracing team stopped even signing their names in emails. No accountability, no ownership, no resolution. Losing a passport is not a minor inconvenience. DHL Express Canada’s handling of this situation shows a serious lack of professionalism and integrity. I strongly advise against using DHL for critical or legal documents. Despite their customer care email, we.care, they really don’t.

    Today I felt extremely embarrassed in front of everyone. When I arrived at the branch, it was very crowded. I put my sister in the line and only wanted to quickly ask if they ship to my country. One of the staff members spoke to me very rudely and refused to answer my simple question, telling me to stay in line. I waited for around 40 minutes, maybe even more. When it was finally my turn, the same person told me in a disrespectful tone that they do not ship to my country. When I complained and said he could have told me that from the beginning, he raised his voice and spoke to me loudly and unprofessionally in front of everyone. This behaviour made me feel really bad and embarrassed, and I will never recommend this branch or this postal service to anyone.
