- AGAshkan GhadimiJul 22, 20241.0My experience with Virgin Plus was extremely disappointing. The mobility connection was consistently poor, frequently disconnecting. Despite multiple requests for a fix, and technicians' attempts to resolve the issue, nothing changed. Eventually, I had to switch providers. The worst part was the lack of compensation for this poor experience. For a 23-day period using a 20GB plan, I was charged around $200. This included $100 in overage charges for supposedly using around 4.5GB over my limit, although my total usage was around 19GB, which is less than my plan. According to their customer agent, usage is calculated daily, and if you exceed a certain amount each day, you incur overage charges. This confusing policy means that using all 20GB on the first day results in overage fees of $20 per GB. Despite these confusing billing practices, I expected some form of compensation for the connection issues, but none was provided. For 23 days of usage, I paid more than $150 for poor service, while my new provider offers 50GB in 5G+ for just $29 a month. The amount I paid for Virgin Plus could cover 5-6 months of my current plan. The download speed with Virgin Plus was 22Mbps with 4.33Mbps for upload, which is unfair. My new provider offers 110Mbps download and 15.4Mbps upload on average. (You can compare speeds in the attached screenshots.) Based on my experience, I do not recommend Virgin Plus at all.
