  The few times I have had to do returns through DHL it has been at this location and I have always had a great experience here. The staff are very helpful and kind. They have gone above and beyond in my opinion to make things easy. Alan is a very patient person and I felt compelled to leave a review today because of him.

  My experience has turned in to a complete joke. I am now having to fill out a third pro-forma invoice with a detailed description of a pre-used wrist watch I purchased from an overseas vendor. Its a damn wrist watch. A full twelve days after the package arrived in Richmond, British Columbia, the package was still not delivered to me. As it turned out, my package was held hostage by this unbelievably inept company for a full 12 days. All that DHL Richmond BC had to do was submit a document called "In Bond" to the Canada Border Services office just two doors down the road from the DHL office, pay the customs dues and deliver the package to me in the timely manner in which it was supposed to be delivered to me. Instead, DHL dragged on this process with one document portal after another and Powers of attorneys and an endless string of emails telling me the documents were incomplete. I made the one hour drive from Abbotsford, BC to Richmond and spoke to the Customs people and had my dues paid in under 15 minutes and then drove two doors down to the DHL office and collected my package. The unbelievable ineptitude of DHL and their Richmond BC personnel defy words to adequately explain. If at all possible, please by all means avoid using DHL for your shipping requirements.

  Nothing personal but I’m totally not satisfied with the asymmetric information that DHL provided: I visited this store on 16th Jan(Fri) evening, required a package to be delivered to Shanghai by 21st local time. The system and the printed receipt both showed a delivery time of 20th. Regardless of whether it’s local time or Vancouver time, 20th meets my requirement, so I purchased DHL’s service. However, the time I arrived home, I received a text confirmation message that the expected delivery time was 23rd, which is completely unacceptable if I knew it earlier. For an international express delivery, this is FRAUD！ The package was delivered on 22nd local time and barely caught the last minute of my recipient’s schedule, and that is the only reason that I rate 2 stars instead of just 1.
