  We would like to thank Carla Winfield in the csmtracing department for her excellent service in help us upload additional information to clear a shipment from Paris. After several unsuccessful days of trying to reach a customs specialist Keisha at the Birmingham AL DHL office connected us with Carla who was assisting with backlog in customs department. She was able to talk us through the problem of getting the additional needed information uploaded and into the right hands, after which our shipment was quickly cleared. She was so patient and helpful and also followed up afterwards. Kudos to Carla for her well appreciated work to resolve an otherwise frustrating experience!! Don and Shirley Hankins Birmingham, AL

  Last edit: changing my review to 5 stars, the other party involved in this situation has received their package, yay!!!. Once again, thank you Ken for getting involved and solving this situation. Edit: editing my review since Ken got in touch with me and is handling this situation. Thank you Ken! This is the type of customer service a business should provide. I got my package but another person involved in this situation has not gotten theirs. Hopefully that package will be delivered and I could give a higher rating. If I could give zero stars I would do it, my experience with DHL has been the worst experience with any shipping company. I received an email that my package had been delivered last night, attached was a picture for “proof” of drop off (the pic of the doormat where package was placed is not mine), I immediately went to my front door to check and sure enough no package. I called right away and a representative apologized and open a ticket and I was told someone will call me the next day at 10 am. Next day at 10:30 am no one had called so I called again. I was told they needed more time to do their “investigation” and someone will call me in 2 hours. After 4 hours I called again since nobody called me. I was told that they still needed more time and that I will get a call in the morning. A couple of hours later, I got an email from Mary Galvan with DHL express and in the email they say that they can confirm that my package was delivered to the address provided by the sender and that my case was closed and to take it up with them. This is false and I can prove it (you may ask how), I posted my situation on Nextdoor (a neighborhood app) and sure enough someone contacted me and they had my package. So I had to do my own investigation and surprisingly I am a much better than DHL. I retrieve my package from a house that was a mile and a half away from my house. The house number for my home and the other home is the same but the streets are different; mine is Amy and the other is Kenneth. So I have the package now and the address that the sender put is the RIGHT address (Amy) and why they dropped it off at Kenneth? I have no idea. I tried emailing Mary Galvan and of course my email bounced. So Mary, what proof do you have that my package was sent to the address provided by the sender? Because I just proved that you lied. The poor woman that received my package is missing hers because she also was supposed to have a package delivered and she was hoping that the delivery person made a mistake and got both of our packages mixed up and that I got hers but unfortunately I never received ANY package. So I got mine but she is still missing hers, hopefully DHL will do right by her and fixed her situation but I doubt it be a she has also received a message that her case is closed. Moral of the story: DHL needs to do better and stop lying!!!!!

  My experience with DHL has been absolutely horrible. I was given no updates that I needed to provide documentation for customs until I PERSONALLY reached out to DHL at which point I timely turned in documentation and was told that I had provided sufficient information by multiple customer service reps, just to be told that my shipment is getting returned to shipper.

  This service is incompetent. Stick with UPS or FedEX. Even USPS is better.
