  The transition to the new Troon Access rewards system has been a complete debacle and one that just absolutely gives the middle finger to the consumer. 1. If you choose to roll over your existing points to the new access it’s not really a 1:1 conversion, and the number of courses using the new access is limited. 2. If you decide (like I did) to keep your points existing and use them in the old format then apparently you can still only use them at courses that are using the new Access rewards, even though the Troon website says you can still use them at all the existing courses using the full points or half points plus cash option. Had saved a bunch of my points to use in Maui at Kapalua (which the website says is valid) only to be told today that they have no access to the old rewards accounts and points can’t be redeemed. So I get hit with a $475 green fee instead of my round being free. And don’t bother trying to reach out to customer service as you won’t get a response to weeks, if you’re lucky enough to get one.
