Quartzsite Arizona has the worst post office in the US. They are the rudest people I have ever met, I’m not sure why they even have a post office. Worst service of any place I have ever Tried to receive mail.

The guy at the post office is not a very nice person, very rude to winter visitors. He has sent more of my general delivery back which were items I needed for health reasons. One year I put the post office address on and then he sent it back, said you can't have the address on, whats the difference it says general delivery so you know we're not a resident here and will be picking up. He doesn't appreciate the support we give the post office. When we move our rig to Yuma they are very friendly to the winter visitors for pick up general delivery and can pick up anytime of the day. I'll have my general delivery sent there from now on. Even Parker has friendly workers. If I could I'd give Quartzsite post office a 0 🌟

Excelente servicio y personal muy amable. El único problema es que están demasiado cortos de personal, hay que esperar mucho tiempo en las horas pico porque sólo hay una persona atendiendo.

The USPS abolished Dual-Addressing nationwide in January 2025. The current Quartzsite addressing system as demanded by our local USPS, is bogus and rejected by most online companies now such as banks and Walmart who no longer allow the # symbol. They programmed their systems to cause an error and reject the # symbol because the # symbol is a form of Dual-Addressing. The mail centers (CMRAs) in Quartzsite have also not conformed to the new nationwide USPS requirement of no longer using the local non-valid USPS format style for Dual-Addressing yet (# symbol), so their addresses they provide to customers are fake. Was an extension provided for Quartzsite as a PO Box only town to continue using Dual-Addressing even though USPS nationwide abolished Dual-Addressing? The # symbol is the equivalent of writing "PO Box". The mail system here has always been bogus. Again, the # symbol is a form of Dual-Addressing, and has never worked seamlessly. This could all be resolved if the USPS would modernize and offer home delivery, or find a different symbol to use that is not flagged by online companies as Dual-Addressing. To summarize the problem: the Nationwide USPS does not allow Dual-Addressing as of Jan 2025 (and online companies follow this), but the Quartzsite local USPS still requires Dual-Addressing (and this is why everyone frequently cannot enter their address for online orders, and why online companies auto-change the address such as by changing the # symbol to apt for example, and why orders are returned to sender). And by the way, almost no online shipper allows you to use the word "box", because they flag it as a PO box. Most people don't even know what Dual-Addressing is, nor realize that they have been using it. Well, it's abolished nationwide, yet required locally. The incompetence amazes me the way the nationwide USPS and local USPS have directly conflicting requirements, and the customers are the ones who suffer the consequences (returned to sender, can't place orders, hours dealing with customer service, etc). See the FederalRegister Document from 2024 and the USPS Postal Bulletin from 2024 on dual-addressing for proof the # symbol has been abolished nationwide. Quartzsite is literally using invalid addresses. The mail situation here was bad enough already without the pound symbol being banned nationwide. This is essentially sabotage, and to understand why the mail situation and other services in Quartzsite are sabotaged on purpose, simply pay attention and think about who and what kind of people could profit from it. Homeowners literally sell their homes and move away from Quartzsite just to be able to get their important mail and letters delivered to their homes. This post office is known for refusing to give the elderly their medications that are in the building. That's how bad it is. Worst post office in the world. It's not a competence problem; it's a morality problem, a sickness of the heart.

Reuben the guy who works the counter is beyond unprofessional and rude. He refused to allow me to drop off pre paid packages yet again despite them being all ready to ship with the postage paid. I go in to drop off parcels and he tells me they have a rule that I can only drop off 7 packages per day. Im a local business, we had 26 packages that day to drop off. So by his logic it would have taken us going in everyday for 4 days just to send out the parcels we had to ship. He's making it IMPOSSIBLE for us to even function as a business in Quartzite. We ended up having to drive all the way to Parker just to drop off our packages because he refuses to do is job and is frankly NASTY and RUDE. How these people haven't been fired shows just how much we need MASSIVE reform in our Post office as they have done with other Government offices.
