Horrible customer service from the older lady with dark hair behind the counter. No pleasantries, no thank yous, or have a nice day. No name tag. It's a customer service job. If you're miserable, don't take it out on the customers.

I visited this UPS Store on Monday, December 15th, to ship Christmas presents to my family. Before coming in, I had already calculated the delivery time using the UPS website and confirmed that UPS Ground would take three days. When I arrived, I was greeted by a woman who was not particularly friendly. She immediately told me that if I shipped my package via UPS Ground, it would not arrive until after Christmas (which means it would have taken at least 8 days to get to the East coast) and insisted that I needed to pay over $100 for expedited shipping in order for it to arrive in time. When I questioned this, based on the delivery estimate I had already known and just having common sense, I was met with a dismissive attitude and told that “UPS said they were backed up.” Frankly, that explanation was hard to believe. Holiday shipping is not new, and I am pretty certain UPS plans for increased volume every year. The interaction left me feeling pressured and uncomfortable, as though I was being pushed to pay significantly more for a service I did not actually need (I also heard the same thing being told to the customer next to me). Despite what I was told, I chose UPS Ground anyway. As expected, my package arrived exactly when I thought it would, Thursday, December 18th. I’m glad I trusted my gut rather than the misleading guidance I received in the store. This experience was extremely disappointing. It felt deceptive and unprofessional, particularly during the holiday season when many customers, especially the older individuals in our area, may be more likely to trust what they’re told without questioning it. While I understand that retail can be stressful during the holidays, that does not excuse providing inaccurate information or pressuring customers into unnecessary expenses. I believe this behavior should be addressed by corporate, and I plan to report it. I will not be returning to this location, and I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this is not the kind of service customers should ever experience.
