I appreciate the opportunity to provide honest feedback on my experience with Insight Global.
On the positive side, I truly enjoyed working with their clients and found the project work engaging and meaningful. The weekly payment process was also timely and reliable, which I value.
However, my overall experience with Insight Global was disappointing due to significant organizational and administrative issues.
I was initially hired to work on a federal contractor project, which was then placed on hold for approximately 12 months. During that period, I joined another team through Insight Global for a short-term, four-week engagement. It was not until nearly 10 months after signing my original offer that my profile was finally set up in their system—and unfortunately, it was set up incorrectly.
Specifically, job titles were assigned incorrectly between two roles, and despite multiple emails requesting correction, this issue was never resolved. As a result, I had to submit hours under the wrong job title, creating confusion and administrative inconsistency. When I transitioned from one project to another, the misalignment persisted, and my requests for clarification and correction went unanswered.
The lack of organization extended beyond administrative setup. It was often unclear whom I should report to or who my direct manager was. For one assignment, my laptop was never properly configured and ultimately had to be returned. The level of disorganization and lack of coordination led me to leave that role after six weeks.
Approximately a month later, I was contacted by Insight Global regarding my timesheets and informed that I owed repayment due to discrepancies. This was particularly concerning, as I had submitted my hours using the incorrect job titles in their system and had previously reached out multiple times for clarification. I was never paid for overlapping roles, yet I was told that funds would be collected from me. This situation was both confusing and unsettling.
While the client-facing experience was positive, Insight Global's internal coordination, communication, and administrative support fell far short of expectations. Being asked to repay funds due to errors originating within their own system was especially concerning.
Based on this experience, I'm unable to recommend Insight Global from an operational standpoint and would rate it 1 star.
