The staff are helpful but there is always a long line at this post office no matter what time of day. Staffing definitely needs to be re-evaluated.

I purchased a controller from a company by the name of RC Wing. My shipment was returned to sender due to an insufficient mailing address. I contacted RC Wing, and they verified the mailing address that I gave them was correct. I went to the local PO here to find out what happened to my package. The person at the counter (Alex) was extremely rude, dismissed me, and said that I would have to speak to the supervisor. I waited 20 minutes for the supervisor, Fernando. He was extremely polite. Fernando showed me on the shipping receipt that my address was verified as correct, but the package was in fact returned to sender. He explained that the reason may have been that they did not have my name listed on the label, but he could not be sure of the exact reason. After I left, a postal representative from the Gilbert office said they had my old mailing address in their system. I checked my online account, and my mailing address is correct. My name is physically displayed on my mailbox. What it comes down to is that the United States Post Office is ate up like a soup sandwich. 1 star 🌟 😒 I have since updated my review to 3 🌟 🌟🌟. Evidently the supervisor must have been able to track my package down. In the post office's defense, the shipping label was extremely faded. However, it still made it to AZ from TX, so their scanner must have been able to read the bar code. It just seems to me the usps should have a better SOP in place to prevent things like this. And, they certainly should require their representatives to take customer service training. I have been in customer service for most of my life, and I have never treated or talked to one of my customers in that manner, unwarranted as Alex talked to me. Better customer service would have increased my review greatly. Judging from this Post Office's 2.5 star rating, I am likely not the only customer that has been treated poorly.

Waited all day, on a Sunday, for a package only for the letter carrier it mark it as no access. The main gate was open so yes they did have access. Also, our regular letter carrier does overtime. He does the overtime route before he delivers to us. We regularly get our mail at 6 pm or later. The postal service has gone from bad to worse.

I can tell morale at this location is very low, and unfortunately it shows. Every employee I encountered was rude, dismissive, and painfully slow. I don’t mind waiting in line… it’s the post office, that’s expected. What’s frustrating is how intentional the slowness feels, like moving faster would be a personal inconvenience. I watched an employee unloading the self-service drop box with what looked like total disregard for the packages inside, as if damaging them was a side quest. While that was happening, I went to drop off my own package with the clerks. There was a massive, chaotic pile of packages next to them, so I politely asked the closest employee, “Is this the drop-off?” He just stared at me. When I repeated the question, “Drop-off, yeah?”.. he gave me a sarcastic, annoyed nod, as if asking a basic question was ruining his day. Sorry, but when the place is a mess and there’s a literal DOOM pile of packages on the verge of tipping over, that the employees seem to be ignoring, I want to be sure my package isn’t about to disappear forever. If interacting with customers and answering simple questions is too much, this might not be the right job. I’ve been to many Phoenix post offices, and this one easily has the rudest and laziest staff I’ve encountered. Maybe consider staying open later than 4:30 PM. Spreading out the hours could help reduce the constant, overwhelming lines and maybe even improve everyone’s mood.
