Before shipping, the clerk asked me: • what was inside the package (a camera), • whether it was broken (I clearly said no — I was only exchanging it for a different color), • and whether I wanted to purchase insurance (I declined). After that, the package mysteriously disappeared. UPS has no record of ever receiving the item from this UPS Store. This means it was not lost in transit — it was never scanned or entered into the UPS system in the first place. The item vanished at step one. Everyone involved is well aware that without insurance, the maximum compensation is only $100. Given that, how does one explain that a valuable item simply disappears before UPS even receives it? This was not a delivery issue.👻
