Where I live it’s people in their own cars dropping off the mail totally fine… but I keep getting my packages misplaced ALL THE TIME this is the 6th delivery I’ve had where the package is supposed to be in my mailbox or the key for the bigger mailbox and yet AGAIN it’s in someone else’s mailbox. Unless whoever got it is nice enough to bring it to my address, my items are lost again. I print out nice letters to tape to the inside of my mailbox letting them know my package has been misplaced and only one time did they fix it.

The team at the Florence Post Office is outstanding. Beyond being efficient and handling my affairs perfectly, I’ve seen them handle difficult public interactions with grace and professionalism. Their ability to de-escalate tough situations while staying respectful is impressive. A great group of people who truly deserve credit for the work they do.

My experience with this location has been horrible. The clerks have little to no personality and act like you, the customer, are interrupting their day. Also, how dare you be positive around them, that will only make them frown more. Then, there are issues with delivery and again, how dare you expect them to do their jobs, such as actually delivering the envelope in the correct location.
I read recently that the post office may be privatized. Although, I would hate to see that happen to such a historical organization, perhaps that is what is needed to finally get good service.
