- FFFrancisJun 8, 20235.0This post office is as good as it gets; the staff are always polite and competent, and they handle complex transactions quickly and accurately. I wish it was possible to access the lobby (and my PO Box ) outside of normal hours. It is a long drive to get to Chinle, but at least they stick to their hours here and don't randomly close. It also would be really handy to have a stamp machine. Sometimes the lines for the counter are long here ,.stretching outside, despite the hard work of the staff. So I wish I could give them 4.5 stars. (Because like most post offices they really needed more manpower so they don't have to shut down the counter at lunchtime). Still, this is a very well-run place, especially when compared to other Post Offices.

People are waiting 3+ hours AFTER they have given the worker a tag that indicates there is a package for them just to hear that they won’t get their packages! REALLY!! There are over 100 people waiting outside and I thought the idea was to minimize exposure? The postmaster was incredibly rude when I stated how long I’d been waiting. This is ridiculous! The postmaster needs to be removed from his position if he can’t handle it!

They also lose or send back packages without verifying recipients. Be sure to go in with a tracking number and push to get your package. Better yet, get a box in another town where you can trust you'll get all your mail and packages.
