He told me it's this store's standard shipping rate and that they would charge $100 to ship a peice of paper to New York. For my initial quote of $35 and change, he had only asked for the destination zipcode (93401), the timeframe (within a couple weeks), and the value of the package $(30). Update: Two weeks later I made a USPS account, used Click and Ship, and it was delivered, in less than 48 hours, for under $8. Nice try to this UPS store for trying to get me for over 4 times what USPS charges.

So I go down there to show them the Pic with my package on there counter, they proceed to say they dont have any packages for me, being very rude and then tell me to file a claim, when the picture clearly shows the package being delivered on there counter. So now im trying to file a claim and its telling me the sender has a very strict restriction. Worsed UPS ever.
