The staff is very professional, helpful, prompt, and friendly! There is a new postmaster here now,and some new employees to.There was once an employee who worked there that was very rude, sassy and impatient with patrons! She received numerous complaints over the years until finally they got rid of her so now going into the post office here is much more enjoyable!

The 1937 Art Deco-style Monticello Post Office, which now houses the Monticello Economic Development Commission, is one of several Depression-era post offices in the state that feature art commissioned by the U.S. Treasury Department's Section on Fine Arts, in this case a sculpture by Berta Margoulies titled "Tomato Culture." The post office was listed on the National Register on August 14, 1998.
