Passport Services was rude and very unhelpful. I made an appointment and was told I couldn’t even get my passport done there.

I am a 17 year old girl and I am not very strong. I was trying to help a friend of mine out when they ordered their package to the wrong address. The package was very awkward and heavy. This was the 3rd post office I had been to today, the others were closed and I was not aware. I asked the woman working if she could help me carry the two packages into the store, because they were so heavy. She stared at me blankly and then walked out with me to my car. There was a large, heavy box and a small, lighter box. She grabbed both. As we are walking inside she says to me, “you seriously couldn’t lift this?” To which I replied, “I’m so sorry, I’m not very strong.” She said “not even this small one? You’re just gonna let the 60 year old woman do it??” I immediately grabbed the smaller box and began repeatedly apologizing. She said, “I can’t believe this!” I felt very uncomfortable for the rest of my visit here and I will never return. I did not ask for her name, but she had brown hair and glasses, and was apparently 60, but did not appear that old. She was extremely rude and inhospitable. She lacks basic customer service skills and she upset me greatly. She actually ruined my evening, and when I got back to my car I burst into tears because of how rude she was to me. Her employment should absolutely be reevaluated.

After driving 2 hours — burning my time, fuel, and money — I arrived at this post office two minutes before closing with my postage already paid. All I needed was a quick firm book stamp, a task that would’ve taken less than 10 seconds. Instead, the clerk shut the door in my face without explanation. This isn’t just rude — it’s a waste of the public’s time and tax dollars. Closing early and refusing simple service is unprofessional and unacceptable. Public service means serving the public until closing time, not hiding behind a locked door before the clock runs out.
