- KHKristy HaynesFeb 16, 20242.0My husband and I opened a PO Box there TOGETHER many years ago. We've had the same box for years. We had lost a key so I had the only key for the box. Usually my husband goes in and picks up our mail from the people at the desk with no issues, if he's the one getting the mail...(I USUALLY DO if I'm working around the area). Today though, I wasn't, and the lady working told him that his name was not on the PO Box and wouldn't allow him to get our mail.. which I find odd because he is very much listed on the PO box with me. I still have the original paperwork from when we opened the box to begin with. Now, I can easily just go get our mail but we now live farther away from the post office and it's 30 minutes out of my way. (Worked in opposite direction today). I tried calling but it seems no one wants to answer the phone. Doubt it would've helped anyway. We've never had this issue before and I'm aggravated to be having it now. And since I'm here, I'd like to add that we get packages often in our PO box.. sometimes those packages are stuffed into a small box when there's clearly bigger boxes for bigger packages in situations like that. Or they could just let my husband pick up the mail on his way home! Then they wouldn't have to stuff them in small po boxes. Personal opinion.
