  This spring (May) C-Spire decided to install fiber to service our neighborhood (Avalon in Daphne). It didn’t take long for the crews burying the cable to start hitting stuff. I have heard my neighbors complaining They hit sprinkler systems, sewer lines and Mediacom’s coaxial cables. My neighbor had sewer issues for roughly 3 weeks before they finally came and had somebody resolve the issue. They drilled their fiber right through the sewer line. I’m pretty disappointed that C-Spire is taking so long to repair damage they did to all of the other utilities. We are in November and you can see the coax cables that were installed to keep people service online. C-Spire made a pitch to folks for fast cheap Internet, but the devil is in the details,. My neighbor still has the fiber laying across the yard, that they installed back in early June, and still have not come out to bury it from the street to her house. Having the cables laying in the street all over the neighborhood is an eyesore. Clearly, customer service and attention to detail, are not C-Spire’s core competency. I wasn’t tempted to sign up for C-Spire, and I believe there are many in our neighborhood that based on their performance would not sign up for their service. I’ve included pictures, so that you can be your own judge, when they show up to your neighborhood.
