I appreciate them taking the time to make it right. August 9, 2025: 1 Star I had to ship a computer to someone and told the clerk I needed tracking, but it only needed to arrive by next weekend, before the 18th. She said the cheapest option with tracking was UPS 2-Day for $225. I didn’t think twice, paid, and left. Later at home, I checked and realized ground shipping also offers tracking. Through PirateShip, I could have bought a ground label for $33. I went back to the store before closing, but the package had already gone out. I didn’t bother asking for a refund—though I probably should have. To make matters worse, they charged me $13 for “packing material,” even though I had already wrapped the computer securely myself, sandwiched between two styrofoam panels, fully covered in bubble wrap, and taped tight. Lesson learned: always check your options before you ship, and don’t assume the store is giving you the best deal. Services like PirateShip can save you a lot of money and ensure you’re getting the true lowest rate. I would have used it from the start if I’d had a box ready. I just didn’t expect to be overcharged on both shipping and packing.
