So, I'm changing my review as there's a new, worse thing that happened twice now. Our regular carrier, who is awesome is out for whatever reason so there's been substitute carriers and most of them are good people that care about doing the job correctly and they do it well. There's one, just one sub that is lazy and doesn't care about delivering packages the correct way. Since it's been getting dark early, I couldn't find packages delivered by this person. Turns out, they put them on the back of my truck. This time they did the same thing but in the rain, on the back of the truck again. So now the package is soaked because this carrier was too lazy to put the package up by the house like they are supposed to. What if I had to go somewhere and didn't see the package on the truck? This person needs to be fired or at least be told to deliver packages the right way. Lack of training? I don't think so. It's just laziness. Update: I have Valentine's gifts for my wife that have been out for delivery since 6:10 am and it's now almost 10 pm and no mail. These mail carriers on my route are the absolute worst at their jobs. Maybe it is a lack of proper training. I read about a proposal to privatize the mail service and I hope they do. Only then will postal workers be held accountable for poor performance and supervisors and post masters as well. Sooner the better. It's about 10:30 pm and I received an email stating the packages were delivered, which was a lie! They were not delivered. I hope someone gets fired since they are dishonest and do not do their job as they should. Horrible!!! Guess what was delivered to my home this morning, the missing packages that, according to the postal website were delivered around 7:22 pm last night! This is shameful, unethical, and just plain dishonest. That delivery person should be fired. It certainly reflects badly on the Postal Service and if it's allowed to continue, it shows that they condone this type of behavior. No wonder they have such a poor rating.
