  Let me preface by saying I'm not really one to leave a review for anything, but I've had nothing but terrible experiences with the Federal Building post office. For the last few years they have gotten absolutely nothing right when I've used them. From outright ignoring holds on mail and returning all parcels to senders on multiple occasions, to leaving snarky unprofessional, and completely incorrect notes in our mailbox, and lazy, work-avoidant behavior for tasks as simple as printing a label in person. Do yourself a favor and go to any other USPS location in Juneau. I've been tempted to open a PO Box at the wonderful Douglas location just to avoid dealing with the absolutely miserable and incompetent carriers and customer facing employees downtown.

  Had a delivery issue (missing package) to report. The staff at US Post Office was very helpful and located the package. Great service even with staff shortage.

  I recently switched my box from the valley to this post office and it took about 2 days for me to regret it. Employees are nice but if you need 1 thing extra, forget it. They are not going to extend one inch of help towards your issue. Juneau has some pretty horrible customer service even by Alaska standards, but you need to recenter your Chi before going in here. There is 1 employee working, there may be a passport in progress and 3 people in line, but there will be 1 employee and don’t expect more. This is the only Juneau office closed on Saturday, and 9 times out of 10 the package you need will be delivered on Saturday. Don’t be fooled by the tracking saying your package is ready for pickup, that really means it is being held for pickup on a weekday and size does not matter. I didn’t have many expectations for the USPS anymore, but now I have even less. My statements are from my experiences and watching other customer experiences in person at this post office. If you need anything other than just getting your small envelope junk mail out of your po box, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

  Never have I been so underwhelmed. Ever wonder why other private companies are doing well when they charge 2-3 times as much? Visit here and it will all make sense. It’s like herding cats that are high on catnip. If using this place, make sure nothing can go bad in 3-4 weeks and can withstand small arms fire and a backhoe running it over. 3 day shipping is a joke.

  Lost the package containing my passport. WTH? Tracking number shows it being held at this location, their internal system doesn't show it existing.
