- GGGene GrissomJan 10, 20165.0When I lived in Ester in 2006/7,( I think. I can't remember) Bill Akiss was postmaster then. I have never had a more pleasant experience in a business than at the Ester PO with Bill. He was to nicest person I ever met. He always called me by my name: Gene, Geno or Mr. Grissom. I cannot say enough good about Bill Akiss. If I had to rate him on a 1 to 10 scale, he would be at least a 15. I considered Bill a friend. I had a saying that I always said every time I walked into the PO. Bill never could say it. It went like this, "Hello there Big, bad, bashful, bare footed, bald headed, bow legged, bad to the bone Bill." It made him laugh. Bill and I had a lot of conversations together. Some serious, some not so serious, but always fun. So I will close with this; Bill, wherever you are, I hope you are safe, warm and happy. Best Regards, Gene Grissom Frost, Texas
