- FWFaye WallNov 6, 20251.0The most inept post office I've ever dealt with. First, calling the 800 number is useless and infuriating and 110% unhelpful. Then when I call the post office directly, the "information" being given is useless, doesn't make sense, and just sounds like they pulled it out of the trash. "We failed to scan it but it should arrive". Cool. That doesn't help me with a lost package. "Well we didn't scan it so it won't update with other scans". I'm sorry, did the box know where it was going and refuse to be scanned and updated anywhere else? I didn't realize it was picky like that! When I asked if there was anything that might have happened there to cause a delay I got "no, it should show up". Isn't it like... I dont know... the easiest thing to do. Pick up a box, scan, put in correct pile to go to correct place? Lastly, can we have someone answering the phone who doesn't sound like they have zero experience on the job and can come up with more then "I dont know, can I get your name and number and I can see about having someone call tomorrow to maybe see about how we can handle this?". Real confidence boosting. The best part is when I was talking to a coworker about it, she even said that the Eagle River post office has lost 2 of her packages in the last 3 weeks and eventually one just got returned to her 🤦🏽♀️
