The tribe's matriarch and patriarch ask that I would become their grand-daughter and presented me with a gift (pictured). I'm honored to remember them often, their meal we shared and wearing their hand made expression of love. We later sent the entire village Christmas clothing for every child (boots, gloves, coat) - because they desperately needed these things. We spoke to tribal leaders and coordinated vegetable growth program with the University of Alaska specializing, to develop short growing season vegetables.
