But DHL provided wrong information in the email to their customers regarding picking up packages. Here’s what my daughter found from the email from DHL(I copied and pasted here): “If someone is collecting for you, then that person must bring the following: 1. A letter from you, the Receiver of the shipment, authorising the person to collect on your behalf and containing the following information: (a) the name of the person collecting; (b) the DHL waybill number for the shipment; (c) your full address; (d) your signature; 2. Government issued photo ID such as a driver's licence or passport.” But when I arrived with a letter and my ID, they said that they need an email from my daughter, not a letter on paper, in order to pickup a package for her. Luckily, I had extra time to handle the situation and also I could reach my daughter quickly with a phone call. DHL should’ve made it more clear in their email to their customers about the procedure. Again, it’s not the staff’s fault. I blame it to the external communication team from DHL.
