  I recently had my hair done at this salon and saw Sarah & she was absolutely the best! She made me feel so comfortable right away and I trusted her completely with my color. She’s not only an incredibly talented stylist but also such a genuine person. The conversation flowed so easily & felt so wholesome. On top of that, she gave the best scalp massage, which was such a treat! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so kind and welcoming. The whole salon felt clean, cozy and like a little family, which made the experience even better. I walked out feeling amazing, and I can’t recommend Sarah enough if you’re looking for someone who is skilled, attentive, and truly cares about her clients.

  Great salon in a wonderful location! Love their selection of products including AVEDA. MCV also participates in a program that gives those who have disabilities work. They are a leader in the industry as well as in compassion.

  I've very torn about this experience. I called and explained that I have very long hair, a very large beard, and I'm looking to cut it all off. And I'm looking for a place a bit classier than your run-of-the-mill barber shop. They informed me they would cut my hair, and cut my beard, no problem. But, they wouldn't do a close shave. No razors. Again, No problem! Love that idea. They say I can wait for someone trained, or I can come in with someone who has 2 weeks of experience. So I wait a month. So I go in. The lady is crazy nice. She doesn't seem too well versed in cuts, but she's so nice. I tell her about my beard. She says she doesn't do beards at all. Nothing... She says no one in that day does them. Lovely. That's when I find out she too was only hired 2 weeks ago. Meaning she didn't even work there when I scheduled my appointment! So she cuts my hair. Not in a fantastic way. Not ruined at all, but I had pictures - and what I walked out with was crazy different. And the pictures were of me with short hair... After the cut, I told her I'm looking for products. I'm willing to spend on something good. I need recommendations. They pushed me out like I was cattle. The cost? 40 measly bucks. I went in looking to drop $100 or more on the cut/shave, and $50-80 on products. I went in begging for an upsell, and I was ignored and pushed out. But ohhhh boy did they work hard at scheduling me to come back. They wanted to get that sorted before I had even paid. This place can be summed up in one very well known saying - quantity over quality. Everyone was nice enough, without a doubt, but they don't listen. So, like I said, this is a hard one to review. All I know is I won't be returning. UPDATE: I've been banned for this review. TLDR? I'm not torn about this experience any longer. I was called and they left a voicemail which was very rude, saying "I find it strange you say in your recent review you'll never be back but you have an appointment in August? So which is it? You can come back, or you can leave. You're choice." To be fair, I ignored it. I don't need to be spoken to like that. Then in August, I get an automated text saying "see you in 30 mins" so I call. They don't answer. Classy... I tell them I will NOT be going and they had better not charge me for a no-show. They call back. It's the OWNER on the phone. It turns out THE OWNER scheduled the appointment. She was the lady on the phone every time, she was the person to write such a sappy apology on google - and belittle me over the phone. When I finally called her out and said "you have yet to take ANY responsibility for all of this- STILL," that's when she tells me *my energy* isn't something she's comfortable exposing her staff to. OH MY DEAR LORD ABOVE. Treated like I threw a fit or broke something or called someone a bad name. Bro, I was NOTHING but respectful in that STUPID salon. Ask the literal child who was cutting my hair if she felt uncomfortable! Seriously, I told them to do that on the phone. We actually had a nice time chatting away. The ONLY pleasant experience in all of this!!! But that does NOT fix this issue. And now I'm banned. 33-year-old project manager and the first place i'm banned from is good old MCV. So, if you go here and you disagree with God herself- I mean the owner of the world-renowned MCV - you will be banned. What a fun experience. At least it's a good story. Trust me, I will be telling everyone I can. MCV? More like Mediocre Cut Vault / Most Cringe Venue / Mirror Crying Vanity / Makeovers Causing Vomit / Misguided Cult Valley Seriously - seriously AVOID this place. I'm left completely astounded. Unfortunately for them, I have not been left speechless. Alright, noooow I'll get off my soap box - thank you for your time.
