- OOoceansoflorewiSep 28, 20241.0I wanted Eros Energy cologne released this year- as a logical thinker and smart shopper I checked Sephora's website to confirm whether or not its in stock in DT Kohls- there is NO option to confirm stocks if its a kohls chain store- why? What does that even matter. Walgreens, Target, so many retailers have an auto stock check. You have ship to store or buy online and pick up but no no that's not what I'm looking for. Eros Energy has been out for a bit so said eff it and walked down. (I live downtown 1 minute walk so its not like I can go anywhere else more convenient than here). Of course- nothing there. A spot for it- but no nothing there. There were 2 girls working - one seemed brand new- the other a manager who didn't want to do much to help. I asked if they had a tester for it- at least to try it and the 2 girls there looked at me like I stepped in dog s***! They quickly followed me to the shelf - the new girl had the keys and the manager girl made comments telling me even if its in stock there wont be a tester available- why? tf. Make one. The other girl unlocked the bottom and No Eros Energy- she checked one drawer- and there are over 7 locked drawers to check to see stock of fragrances. Yet no effort to look. I went browsing for face washes - dozens that specifically said 'try me' and again personally went up to the new girl requesting for tiny samples of a face scrub and face wash. The new girl went up to the cant be bothered manager asked permission for some reason then the new girl turned around and said NO- i cant sorry. At that point I was pissed and wanted something out of this trip and said- these bottles say try me- do you have a sink? how am i supposed to wash my face with this right now? The new girl and manager quickly went into action to open a back drawer behind the register of THOUSANDS of tiny sample canisters and the new girl quickly went into action to get my testers - into the cannisters, bag and label- seemed fully trained to me! The manager who told her no having a stank attitude. The new girl came back to give me my samples and I asked if my request was a special exception - and she replied with word salad and didn't make sense which means NO - my request was not an exception and the norm. Period. Do your damn jobs! For such inflated prices on a bunch of products with mostly fake chemicals- you better have my sample requests ready!!! Very weird experience. The new girl seemed nice as she asked me if I needed help midway through my shopping but the manager was encouraging her to do the absolute LEAST for me- from the beginning to end of my experience. No on a sample? Unreal. For the love of god do NOT come downtown here for your body product, makeup, and fragrance needs. Its not worth it as you will most likely have the unpleasant experience I had today.
