  I'm not the type who gives bad reviews. But it happened to me twice. One with the stylist Gloria and today with Hailey! The price they quote was too much for flat iron with no wash. I made sure to pay attention to the time they started on me. With Hailey, as she was called the basic stylist who I opted for. My hair isn't curly at all nor is it thick, although long but it's fine type of a hair . It just needs smoothing out. My appointment was supposed to be at 3pm, but because she tended to another male mature customer, that I have to wait for another 10 minutes until she came! Before she started, I specifically asked how much, she responded $15 every 15 minutes. She then started putting hair protectant around after that time. While doing so, I also asked how much of a difference if she washes my hair, so she checked back at the counter and after a minute or 2, came back and told me, it will be another $32 if I had it washed, so I said nope, just smoothen it out. I could tell she was taking her time while doing it, cause it was really a few tiny bunch of hair she was taking to iron out, and again my hair, isn't thick, it is long but fine strands. When I checked out, I was charged $45 cause she said it took her 3 different iron which means 3 sets if 15 minutes!!!! Please don't go to West Side JC Penney! There stylist are ripping you off and please watch what time you started. When I raise my concern, the lady on the front together with Hailey laughed and I could hear them talking about me and about how I complain. No never again pn this branch.   Honestly, you’re better off cutting your own hair. I’ve never had such a bad haircut in my life. The back of my neck looks like a rat’s nest. The length is all over the place. I’m going home and having a friend fix this because I’ll never come back. I asked for the sides and back to be shorter than the top by an inch. Not only did I have to repeat this multiple times to the hair stylist, they were also just winging it the whole time. Talking about the theory they were using to cut my hair. See the final look for yourself after giving up on trying to get them to cut it right.

  I’d rather someone tell me they don’t know what they’re doing and let someone who does do it, instead of just doing it anyway. Tried bringing my son here for a haircut never again.

  I was able to use my JCP credit card, and they did an awesome job on my mermaid hair!
