When I called to reschedule due to a legitimate family emergency, the receptionist immediately jumped to 'We have to charge you even if you reschedule before acknowledging the situation, let along showing empathy. While I understand the need for a 24-hour policy, there is a way to communicate rules while still treating long-time customers like people. The lack of soft skills at the front desk left a bad taste in my mouth. A salon experience is about hospitality from start to finish, and unfortunately, the booking team missed the mark here.

I get my hair cut very rarely and usually at home or in Asia, because I don’t trust salons with my thick and coarse Asian hair, which I have a lot of, but Ciel was very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns and wants :) I wanted long layers and face-framing pieces so that my hair wouldn’t be this one heavy sheet, and it turned out great and still kept my length and thickness without it feeling too overwhelming! The atmosphere was also very relaxing. The one thing was that the parking situation was more complicated than I anticipated; I had to park in the nearby neighborhood (there doesn’t seem to be a parking lot).
