  I mainly come for Nzhwa. She is sweet, knowledgeable and always honest in her line of work. When I suggested to highlight my hair she insisted to do a dye test and informed me the condition of my hair. Since then she has given me advice on at home hair treatments and care for my difficult scalp and hair due to medical issues. My hair is healthier and even dyed now.

  I had an amazing experience. I was a walk in and they made me an appointment. My stylist was such a sweet person. Would 100% recommend the salon and the stylist Kenya !

  I had a scheduled appointment for Saturday morning at 11:00. I arrived at the salon around 10:50. The stylist I booked with, Kenya, was the person who checked me, but I noticed that she had someone in her chair already. She asked if I was on a time crunch, then asked me to sit in one of the waiting chairs. She proceeded to finish working on the person in her chair. After about 10 minutes, she came back with a different stylist, Arfa, and said that she didn’t want me waiting long, so she would take care of me. Arfa took me to her chair, took down my ponytail, and fluffed my hair out. She immediately moved me to a different chair and began working on a different client. Another 10 minutes or so passed and I realized that neither stylist would begin working on my hair in a decent amount of time. I asked for my hair tie and left the salon. No word from either stylist. Over an hour after my scheduled appointment I received an automated text stating that my appointment was cancelled, I assume this means Kenya was finally done working on the person in her chair at that time. 0/5 if I could rate that. This was completely unprofessional and does not reflect well on this establishment. I’ve visited other Bubbles Salons in northern Virginia and have never experienced anything like this. Your stylists should not be taking other clients minutes before a scheduled appointment. Will never visit this location again.

  First time visiting this salon and I had a great experience with Nina. She is awesome! I had been box-dying my hair at home for a few years. She listened to me, discussed my hair issues, and made me feel comfortable during the process. Nina was super professional and was able to give me beautiful highlights, color, and a hair cut!

  The one star is for the salon as a whole, not the girl who did my hair. I get my hair blown out every week, usually at hair cuttery. Sometimes when my stylist is booked or out, I will sometimes book here because it’s also close to me. Every single time I book with someone online, they switch my stylist when I get to the salon. EVERY SINGLE TIME!! I purposefully book with the more experienced, more $$ stylists because I want my hair to be blown out well. They stay switching me to stylists who are very new and don’t do the greatest job. I’m not here to bash the stylist because she was very sweet but I PURPOSELY booked with somebody else. I’m not sure why they’re always doing this??? And the stylist I booked with, I saw her doing someone else’s hair and it came out amazing. It puts me in an awkward situation if I say something and it comes off rude to the stylist they put me with. I paid to get my hair blown out and had to come home and straighten over the entire thing because it was puffy and frizzy which is annoying considering I paid for the service to be done for me. Again, not the stylists fault, I blame whoever manages the salon. Also, one time I booked online and instead of switching the stylist they just said the stylist wasn’t there and they had nobody who could do my hair…. That was around a year ago, I see things are still messy. If I ever have to come back, next time I’ll have to just say something and make it awkward for everybody.
