The team there is so nice and respectful. I deal with Rosie. She’s so nice and she always takes care of me and my two years old boy perfectly my boy cries every time we go to a barber until we found Rosie. I always feel fresh after my haircuts there.

I visited this place with my two kids and had a disappointing experience. Our appointment was scheduled for 6:15 PM, but we weren’t taken in until 6:40 PM. There was little to no communication or acknowledgment of the delay. Because of the long wait and lack of attention, I had to cancel the appointment for one of my kids. For my other child, the service felt rushed and careless. The hair wash (shampoo and conditioner) was done in under a minute, which didn’t feel thorough at all. The haircut itself was rushed, and they didn’t even properly dry the hair—just a quick finger-dry, which seemed unprofessional. Overall, the experience felt inattentive, rushed, and not worth the time or money. Never visting this place again.

I had an appointment scheduled for 6:30 and arrived on time. I ended up waiting over 30 minutes with no update from anyone. When I followed up, I was told that they had called me, which is not true — I was present at the shop the entire time and no one contacted me. This experience was very disappointing. Poor communication and lack of respect for customers’ time is not acceptable. I hope they improve their service and handle appointments more professionally in the future.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I've needed sometime to think about this review before I posted it. I went in because I got an offer for 50% off a service. Needed a haircut and wanted a single color. I was told I should do partial highlights and a single color on the rest. My fault for not asking how much that would be and for assuming half and half would be about the total for one of those services. I was there 4 hours!!! Other than the highlights, my hair color looks exactly the same, so no, the single color was not necessary. I also didn't get partial highlights, it was full highlights (another lie and deceit). I'm starting to think HC employees not only try to push the haircare products they sell, but they might even get a commission for how many services they suckered you into. I was charged for several things I was never asked if I wanted (blowout, hair products she used). While she was doing the blowout, which I kind of thought she was just going to partially dry my hair cuz it was cold out, she just left me for 20 mins to go dye some man's hair. I should have paid and left at that point. The stylist then tried to sell me 3 different products, then charge me hundreds! They would not honor my 50% off for whatever reason and I was charged way more than I'd pay in a nice salon. Last, my stylist tried to schedule my next appointment, which I said no cuz I'm unhappy with how I was treated. I got an email last night that they, without my permission, actually I said no, they went ahead a scheduled my appointment which I promptly canceled. I am so unhappy with the entire experience, I have no desire to ever go back to HC. I can't not recommend them enough and although I think people will still go, you are setting yourself up to be suckered, lied to, and cheated. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. At this time, I've chosen not to name the person who did my hair yesterday, but be VERY CAREFUL going to at least this HC, but really HC in general. Highly disappointed and let down. The worst business I've encountered in awhile.

I am extremely disappointed with how my experience was handled at Hair Cuttery in South Riding. I received a text message from Hair Cuttery’s booking system saying “We miss you! 50% off tomorrow” along with available appointment times. I booked an appointment based on that message and received a confirmation text that also included the promo code (50%OFFSERVICES). After my haircut, when I presented the message and promo code at checkout, the staff called the manager. Even after the manager reviewed the full message, I was told the offer would not be honored because it was supposedly only for new customers and that someone may have sent it by mistake. This explanation does not make sense because the message literally states “We miss you,” clearly targeting returning customers. If the promotion truly was only intended for new customers, that should have been clearly stated in the message. Instead, the system invites you back with a discount and then the store refuses to honor it. What was most concerning is that even after seeing the written confirmation, the manager still refused to honor the promotion, and I was charged the full amount. Customers should not be penalized for mistakes made by a company’s own automated messaging or booking system. When a promotion is sent and confirmed in writing, it should be honored. I would appreciate Hair Cuttery corporate reviewing this situation and addressing the issue so that customers are not misled by promotional messages that the store ultimately refuses to honor.
