  We had a great first experience at Rowan for my 7 year old daughter’s first ear piercing. We almost left with only one ear pierced because my daughter was scared but Sophia was so patient. She tried all the tactics to make sure my daughter was comfortable. We eventually got the second ear pierced and my daughter was SO happy! Thank you Sophia!

  Took my daughter to get her ears pierced for her 6th birthday and the ladies made the whole experience so amazing! They were so welcoming and comforting with my daughting and I. Sophie (girl I hope I got your name right) was so sweet and kind and made the whole process so smooth for my nervous girl. Definitely will be bringing my youngest daughter to this location when she’s ready to get hers done. Thank you ladies! 🖤✨

  Although the only needle certified employee was late and our 11am appointment was not honored, the other staff was very knowledgeable and attentive - she got us all set up and was super transparent about the earrings being priced for the single earring, not the pair - which is not very clear on Rowan’s website. When the needle certified employee did arrive, she was very professional and took her time with my 7year old daughter who was very anxious to be pierced for the first time, especially with a needle. There was another party who had also made an appointment, but had more than one individual getting pierced, but we were seen first, which I appreciated, even though the other party did arrive before we did. All in all, we arrived right at 11am for our 11am appointment and left around 11:50am. Suggestions for management: make sure all employees are dual certified and allow them to earn those training hours! If you only have 1 person on staff that is needle certified, don’t allow more than 1 appt in the time slot.

  I made an appointment in advance, then day of I showed up 5 mins early only to be told they were running behind and I’d need to wait at least another hour. I wasn’t able to wait that long because I had somewhere else I needed to be afterwards so I told the sales associate I needed to keep the appointment time I had. She just stared at me blankly and didn’t say anything so I asked if I was able to somehow get my ears pierced during the appointment I’d originally scheduled, especially since I was literally the only person standing in the store and they advertise on their website that it’s a quick 10-15 min appointment. She said no, so I had to leave without receiving the service. Why offer appointments if your staff isn’t going to adhere to them? And no call to let your customers know you’re running behind? Would’ve been really great to have a head’s up that I didn’t need to sit in 45 mins worth of traffic for no reason.

  My daughter and I had an appointment on 12/21/25 to get our ears pierced, and we’re so fortunate to have Arlene take care of us. She was absolutely wonderful! She took her time with me to make sure I was happy with the placement of the hole in my left ear. I have some scar tissue on that ear from it tearing when I was a child, and then had surgery to repair it. She was very particular and wanted to ensure I was completely satisfied before she pierced it. She was diligent and thorough and even had another nurse provide a 2nd opinion. My daughter, who is 8, was getting her right ear re-pierced after the earring came out in her sleep. We let several months go by to be sure it was fully closed. My daughter was nervous and scared about this, and seemed comforted by the numbing creme. To get the earrings to match, her right earring had to come out. Unfortunately, it was pushed in too far, making her ear tender and sensitive. My daughter became emotional and worked herself up, not letting her grasp the back of the earring to loosen it enough to pull it out. Through all of this, Arlene never wavered in how she cared for her. She was gentle, tender, and compassionate. She talked to her throughout all of it and respected her fears and anxieties. Her goal was to get my daughter to feel as comfortable as she could. After an extended period of time trying various things to get her calm and still enough to pull the earring out, we were finally able to get it out. Re-piercing her left ear was just as challenging, and again, Arlene did all she could to ensure my daughter was well cared for. She took a difficult situation and did all she could to make it better. Then, after all that, she took the time to review after care instructions and ensure we had all our questions answered. Bless you, Arlene! Your kindness meant so much to us!!
